Very powerful battle system yet hard to use according to people I know. However, I personally dislike how symphony did its sprite movements. It support holder battler, kaduki/katsuki battler and even default character graphics AFAIK.

It uses notebox to setting the skill, so, your notetag would be messed up if you have many tags. It likely to have supports since most people known. Well known since 2012 and already spread around the RPG Maker communities.

Thank you everyone, looking forward to trying my hand at this game making malarky. TL R? Need Side View Battle system comparisons please. And while it doesn't necessary have to be plug and play, the easier the better because I'm a noob and in no way a scriptor. I would like both player actors and enemies to be animated, I hate fighting static images. So I would appreciate it if someone could give me some pros and cons of some of the most well known ones and compare them to each other. However, trying to find a comparison between the few I've heard of (Theolized, Battle Symphony, uhhh Tankentai) is difficult and I'm struggling to figure out which ones I need. However I'm adamant that I want to use a Side View Battle System. So I'm going to make a small 2 hour long game instead. I wanted to make a 20 epic game then I thought "uhhhh nah. if your event contains like a script command you might wanna change that.So I have had the RPG maker VX Ace for a year now and I'm only just thinking of making a game for it. but i was able to find the equivalent plugins pretty quicklyĮdit: forgot to mention events do carry during conversion. You cant convert your scripts to plugins however.

Now you can just set the tile size to 32x32 in mz database and import all your previous tileset and pictures from your vxa project to this new one. i was not sure mv and mz data were compatible with each other but it was. Then you make a new mz project and take all the data files that were created and put it in a folder called "data" in your mz project. it should output all the actor, map, weapon data etc in a folder called "mv-data" that will be created in your project folder. You add the script to your project just like any other vx ace script then you need to run the game once. Firstly: i converted my vx ace project to mv using this script
