The egg will fall right through the floor! Go back into the prison area and there will be two black eggs now in the cell. Drop the egg into the middle of the platform, where there is a round grate. You will find yourself in the Hedgehog Hammer room. Jump on the button in front of the cell to open it then take the egg and exit from the prison area.
On the Egg Carrier, as E-102 when you let Amy out, you will notice that the cell next to her's has an orange-spotted black egg in it.
